I became fascinated by the creative possibilities of photography back in 1973, shortly after I purchased my first camera. Since retiring from my position as Vice President for Academic Affairs at a small liberal arts college, I’ve pursued my interests in photography in a more disciplined way, attending professional workshops and developing my portfolio. As the pictures I have shared here indicate, my primary photographic interests are landscape and nature and the discovery of the unexpected in the everyday. The interplay of light with a particular scene is the subject matter, whether the focus of the photograph is a fishing boat in Maine, the debris in a swamp in Charleston, South Carolina, or a seagull on the pier as dawn breaks in Provincetown, Massachusetts.
